Welcome to "Black Woman-Independent." I'm still experimenting with design and formatting, but there's so much going on in the world, I can't let that stop me from jumping into the mix. The present dearth of independent Black voices presenting the events of these times--be they politics education, religion, entertainment, etc--from the perspective of the African American, is unacceptable. That's where BWI comes in, as we will operate in the spirit of the late, great Shirley Chisholm: "Unbought and Unbossed!"Come what may, please rest assured that BWI is on the case!
